Bikram Yoga El Paseo

Bikram Yoga Palm Desert – El Paseo enters its third week of new ownership and the force is with us!!!  Heightened energy and momentum thrive  as the transition continues to run smoothly!!

As temperatures  swelter outside we are happy to report that we are holding our own with the number of people coming into class during the  biggest vacation month!!  NO ONE wants  to be in the desert in August !!  The diehards still come to class sweating it out inside and well as out!!!

I had an opportunity to take a two day hiatus and head to cooler climates to mix a little biz with pleasure . A small group of us drove to Marina Del Rey to check out Bikram Yoga Marina Del Rey . A brand new Bikram studio complete with steam room and juice bar . As we look ahead towards building our future it’s nice to see what the newest studios are doing!!  We then drove to Costa Mesa to visit one of my favorite established  studios:  Bikram Yoga Costa Mesa.   Whenever I visit Newport Beach I practice at this studio!!

I went to Bikram Yoga Costa Mesa about 6 years ago for the first time and fell in love with the studio.  It’s located in “The Camp” which is one of the neatest places to hang out .   There is such a great vibe and energy there!!    I had the pleasure of meeting the owner  Patrice Simon ,   when I attended Bikram Yoga Teacher Training and we had an instant connection .  She was also a former Registered Dental Hygienist turned certified Bikram Yoga instructor , turned studio owner!!!   Patrice and Bikram Yoga Costa Mesa celebrated their  TEN year anniversary on Saturday night!!!   What an awesome studio and studio owner to be my role model as I venture through unchartered waters in my first year of ownership!!   Patrice and her studio continue to have a flourishing membership  at the 10 year mark!!!!!

It then was time to leave the beautiful weather of the beach communities and head back to reality , but not before eating a healthy breakfast  at  True Food Kitchen.   What a NEAT  place if you have never been!!  Check it out next time you visit Newport!!!

Upon our return  we held our first  STUDENT meeting Sunday evening  and I have to say it went very well .  I was thrilled with the students who CARED enough  to take time out of their busy lives to spend a couple of hours with their fellow yogis .      Teachers and students shared thoughts and suggestions for  the  future growth of  BIKRAM YOGA PALM DESERT-EL PASEO!!!  I barely recognized some of the students outside of the hot , sweaty yoga room !!   It’s always fun to get together and see each other in street clothes and our hair / makeup done .  It was also great to have a real discussion  rather than a quick exchange while passing in or out of class!! A lot of fresh ideas and those willing to volunteer to get necessary projects completed!!

Everyone agreed it was productive as well as social and that we will plan these on a regular basis and next time try a pot luck!!!  Thanks again to those who came out on that sweltering August evening volunteering their time and energy to help support our studio!   So much love here!   Our small “hot” yoga studio with our BIG  “red hot” yogi  heart is truly becoming the  “students studio” !!!    Peace and Love ,   Namaste`
